Hey people last night we had the pleasure of catching up with the YUME FAM over at Arena for a one of a kind performance. It was all about YUME FAM;for the first time ever Kapps shared a stage with Talib Kweli, It was pretty momentous seeing the the 2 share the stage. The drinks were flowing, the music was blaring, and oh the beautiful people. It was a real cool atmosphere and fun as hell. Hip Hops musical foundation has been primarily based on American records. After ten years of vigorously digging thru US samples, The Ratt Pakk began to look outside the standard format of hip-hop production. As international music producers, they recognized that hip-hop culture had a strong impact on the youths of Japan. Thru Hiroshima’s background, the team used various avenues ranging from Urban to J-Pop music to further establish The Ratt Pakk brand. In their first instrumental album, BIG in JAPAN, Kasper & HirOshima display the traditions of Japanese art & culture integrated with the innovation & creativity of hip-hop beat making. In addition to building on cultural bridges, these sempai’s hope to establish authentic relationships with hip-hop folk all over the world.

The Ratt Pakk was started in 2004 by its members HirOshima, Kasper, and Bastiany. The three chose a name that would stand out from the rest, as well as describe them collectively. The original Rat Pack was a group of talented and entertaining individuals, mainly Frank Sinatra, Sammybo Davis Jr, and Dean Martin. They took the music and entertainment industry by storm in the late 50's to the early 70's. This is what the New Ratt Pakk is determined to do. Not only with there preeminent beats, but with their uniqueness as a group and as individuals, this group of 3 talented friends is sure to make an impact on the music world. They are Jerseys Finest, The Ratt Pakk.

So much cool stuff happend this weekend, its only right that we post about it. Its seldom we have a dull moment at YUME, and with all the personal obstacles you have trying to produce great music, do great art, help your community, and revolutionize the idea of individualism in street wear, all at once, Its always good to have good people stop by and let you know "YOU'RE ON THE RIGHT PATH!" Boy, it's been crazy busy over here at YUME, But you know we don't stop!! WE'RE PREPARING FOR THE NEW YEAR!! We can't really give away what is going on, but all we can say is DAMN!! But here is the week in review...

SO this week, we stopped over by our boy RICH over at TRIKO Big Ups to RICH and lookout for their HOLIDAY stuff in the shop very soon.

Our friends from BROOKLYN KOBO stopped by and dropped off some goodies, Deffinitely a dope line and only has been sold in JAPAN until now!! Ken we can't wait to work with you in the new year!

Fly Lady DI hit us up and we are preparing to shoot her and PRINT for the 08 LOOK BOOK, boy that is deffinitely going to be fun.

The I-TEAM has been hard at work, grinding as usual, and will be recruiting so if you know any people out there who want to get some dope experience and basically run a company all on YUME, tell them to give us a call 718-623-3456 ask for Femi.

JIMMY LEE, from JIMMY LEE TV stopped by this week as well, we chopped it up and can't wait to work with him, OH YEAH HE'S JOINING THE I-TEAM!!! DEFFINITELY GONNA GET IT IN!!

Friday night YUME and the I-TEAM headed out to the GUGGENHEIM MUSEUM to hang out and socialize for their FIRST FRIDAYS event, we had a great time, LITTLE DEATH NYC laid it down and we danced the night away.
