Hip Hops musical foundation has been primarily based on American records. After ten years of vigorously digging thru US samples, The Ratt Pakk began to look outside the standard format of hip-hop production. As international music producers, they recognized that hip-hop culture had a strong impact on the youths of Japan. Thru Hiroshima’s background, the team used various avenues ranging from Urban to J-Pop music to further establish The Ratt Pakk brand. In their first instrumental album, BIG in JAPAN, Kasper & HirOshima display the traditions of Japanese art & culture integrated with the innovation & creativity of hip-hop beat making. In addition to building on cultural bridges, these sempai’s hope to establish authentic relationships with hip-hop folk all over the world.

The Ratt Pakk was started in 2004 by its members HirOshima, Kasper, and Bastiany. The three chose a name that would stand out from the rest, as well as describe them collectively. The original Rat Pack was a group of talented and entertaining individuals, mainly Frank Sinatra, Sammybo Davis Jr, and Dean Martin. They took the music and entertainment industry by storm in the late 50's to the early 70's. This is what the New Ratt Pakk is determined to do. Not only with there preeminent beats, but with their uniqueness as a group and as individuals, this group of 3 talented friends is sure to make an impact on the music world.
