GOOD DAY GOOD NIGHT, and an arsenal of other great musicians, artists, and fashion designers will be getting together to ROCK THE BLOCK this year for the first time. YUME is proud to be apart of this momentous event. August 9th, you must make sure you are there. The marketing and underground campaign starts now, this is like a MYSPACE show on crack! Be there or be squared!

THE BEAUTIFUL STRUGGLE CONTINUES...

Starting Thursday we had one of the most eventful weekends in the HISTORY of YUME (hmmmm, I might be exagerating that one, but it was pretty damn eventful). It all started with THE CLASS REUNION, which has deffinitley been an event that has organically progressed quite nicely over the past few months. We can't wait until August, when we ROCK THE BLOCK!

Then on to our July 4th, which was filled with good BBQ and a relaxed day.

Saturday July 5th, was off the hook. YUME utilized one of its community partnerships to take over 20 young Crown Heights Skate Boarders to the AFRO-PUNK Skate Park. The only thing that could possibly compete with that fulfillment was to see our favorite AT ALIEN grace the stage, none other than the illustrious MS. JANELE MONAE.

And we might have failed to mention our special guest throughout the weekend,but some things are best left to the imagination.

Big shouts to the LIVE WIRE, MOS DEF, MONE DIVINE, , JANELE MONAE, PRINT, J, and everyone else that helped to make this weekend so momentous. It is certainly one for the history books. Can't wait ti bust loose in the FALL. SHEESH!

The VOLUME i TOUR kicked off last night and boy was it memorable. Opening the show was the first WE LOVE LIVE MUSIC SHOW powered by YUME Music. 11:11 and THE ARGYLE EFFECT came by and showed us exactly why WE LOVE LIVE MUSIC. Their bands warmed the stage up and gave us a mix of jazz and alternative rock, we look forward to seeing them again in the future very soon. This also marked the official launch of YUME Music. You'll hear more about YUME Music throughout the summer.

THE VOLUME i TOUR then blazed the stage, kicking off with performances from RAHSAAN (currently on THE ROCK THE BELLS TOUR) & F-MOS who will be doing a couple dates on the TOUR throughout its duration. But boy the main band, GOOD DAY GOOD NIGHT, lead by PRINT put on a show that was truly momentous. If you were not there you deffinitely missed a great show, but luckily show 2 will be this SATURDAY, JUNE 28TH, 2008 @ YUME. Peep the pics
